Feel more prepared for your baby and the early weeks of motherhood.

Preparation shouldn't stop at birth.
We're here to prepare you for what comes next.

What to expect

There is so much to think about when you're expecting your first baby, and while so much of the preparation can focus on birth, there is a whole new stage waiting on the other side. So much of what you need to know only becomes relevant once your baby is here, often at a time when you're already navigating a huge amount of change.

Our six week Pregnancy Group is about helping you feel prepared for that transition before you're in the middle of it. Each week, you'll hear from a different specialist, with the opportunity to learn, ask questions and better understand what to expect in the first weeks and months with your baby.

Just as importantly, you'll experience it alongside the same small group of expecting mums, all due around a similar time. So by the time your baby arrives, you'll already have a community of mums you can lean on in those early weeks.

Our specialists

Becoming a mum brings so much joy, and a lot you simply can't prepare for on your own. Most of us learn as we go, often in the middle of the night, wishing someone had told us sooner.

That's what these six weeks are for. Each week a different specialist joins us to answer the questions you have and the ones you haven't thought of yet, so you go into those first weeks at home feeling genuinely prepared, supported and confident in yourself.

Embrace Physio and Pilates

Body

Embrace Physio & Pilates

Pelvic health physiotherapists

Discover how to prepare your body for birth and recovery. Learn which movement is safe through pregnancy, how to manage the aches that come with a growing bump, and how your pelvic floor and breath work together when it matters most. You'll explore what happens at each stage of labour and the strategies that genuinely help, along with what recovery looks like afterwards, whichever way you birth.

Be guided through a gentle movement session, and leave with a simple routine to take home.

Feeding

Amy, Village Wellness

Accredited Practising Dietitian and Lactation Consultant

Discover how feeding really works, from what your body is doing in the first hours to how your supply establishes over the first weeks. Learn about positioning and latch, how to read your baby's hunger cues, and what to expect of yourself and your baby as you find your rhythm together. You'll cover breastfeeding, expressing, bottle and formula, so you feel prepared however feeding unfolds for you, and know exactly where to turn if it doesn't go to plan.

Be shown how to swaddle, so you're not learning it for the first time at three in the morning.

Rosalie from The Reset Method

"It struck a chord that as fathers we should be doing a lot more to prepare,
to match our partners' level of research and understanding."

PARTNERS MASTERCLASS, 2026

for your partner

Becoming a parent is a significant shift for partners too, and there's far less available to help them prepare for it.

We also run an optional standalone masterclass for dads and partners, facilitated by Jason from Raising Fathers. One evening covering what to expect in those early weeks, how partners can offer real and helpful support, and what the invisible and cognitive load of a household actually involves once a baby is home.

Partners come away with a clearer sense of what's ahead, and a room full of others going through the same thing. The masterclass runs alongside every Pregnancy Group, and can be included when booking.

your six weeks

For six weeks, you'll come together with the same small group of expecting mums, with a different specialist joining you each week.

There'll be time to settle in over refreshments and ask the questions on your mind, with resources to take home and revisit when you need them.

We recommend joining between 24 and 30 weeks, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the six weeks together and build those connections before your babies arrive.

From pregnancy into motherhood

The connections you make before your babies arrive can be the ones you carry into motherhood.

We recommend joining between 24 and 30 weeks pregnant. This gives you plenty of time to enjoy the six weeks with your group, while keeping everything you learn feeling relevant and fresh as you get closer to meeting your baby.

If you're a little earlier or later, you're still very welcome. Get in touch and we can help you choose the intake that best suits your due date.

Our Pregnancy Group has been designed primarily for first time mums, bringing together women navigating this stage for the first time.

Second-time mums are also very welcome if you're looking for a refresher or would value the opportunity to feel more prepared and supported this time around.

No. Our Pregnancy Group is designed to complement your antenatal or birth education, rather than replace it.

While birth classes focus on preparing you for birth, our focus is on everything around and after it, from looking after your body through late pregnancy and recovery, to feeding, newborn sleep, nutrition, your changing sense of self and preparing for those first weeks at home with your baby.

Our weekly Pregnancy Group sessions are just for mums, but partners haven't been forgotten. You can add our Partners Masterclass to your booking, giving them their own evening to learn, ask questions and prepare for what's ahead.

We'll share any resources from the evening with you afterwards, so you can catch up in your own time and join your group again the following week.

We intentionally keep our Pregnancy Groups small with no more than 12 expecting mums, giving everyone the opportunity to be part of the conversation, ask questions and get to know one another across the six weeks.

We'd love for From Day One to continue being part of your motherhood journey. Once your baby arrives, you can join one of our Signature Mothers Groups, where you'll be matched with mums and babies at a similar stage and continue building your community from there.

You'll find us at 22 Cecil Place, Prahran, in the heart of Melbourne's inner south. While we're based in Prahran, we welcome expecting mums from across Melbourne.
