a new era of Mother's Groups

Our signature 10-week Mother's Group series has been built with intent after hearing the needs of hundreds of women: A place to share experiences and learn from each other, and build meaningful bonds with others going through the same life stage.

What's included

All-inclusive price

$35 per session includes mum and baby

Intimate group size of 8 members

Big enough to make meaningful connections, but intimate enough to have all of your questions answered.

Amenities included 

Our space is purpose-built to cater for mums of babies under 12 months, fully stocked with feeding chairs and changing facilities including spare nappies and wipes. There is access to a kitchenette including a fridge and microwave. 

In-person guest speakers 

Each week you’ll have the chance to learn from leading specialists, with custom content for each age and stage. You'll also receive an additional resources list via email after the session.

Refreshments provided  

Complimentary snacks, water, coffee, or tea of your choice each week.

Venue Details

From Day One is located at 22 Cecil Place Prahran. Mother's Groups are held on the ground floor (pram access via ramp) or carrier access via 5 stairs. For more details on how to get there, where to park and what to bring visit our Welcome Pack.

The Level 1 Membership Space can be accessed before and after your Mother's Group by From Day One members. Membership discounts apply for Mother's Group members.

Can't make one of the sessions?

We get that babies can be unpredictable, so if you're not able to make one of the sessions you'll be offered a make-up session or can join via Zoom link.

Week 1 - Recovery with a Midwife - Birth debrief & your wellbeing check in after your 6 week check-up.

Week 2 – Feed with a Lactation Consultant - Breastfeeding, bottle feeding, mixed feeding & pumping.

Week 3 – Move with an Exercise Physiologist - Pelvic floor and abdominal recovery & movement for mum.

Week 4 – Partner with a Relationship Coach - building good communication and sharing the mental & physical load.

Week 5 – Care with a Facilitator - The most common questions about childcare, kinder, hiring a nanny & family help.

Week 6 – Nourish with a Nutritionist - Handling hormones, supplements. eating enough for energy, rest and recovery.

Week 7 – Relationships with a Counsellor - Setting boundaries, asking for help & advocating for yourself and your needs with extended family & friends.

Week 8 – Self with a Psychologist - Self-regulation, making time for yourself & importance of prioritising your needs.

Week 9 – Sleep with a Sleep Consultant - Managing expectations around baby & toddler sleep, setting up a positive sleep environment & good sleep hygiene for mum.

Week 10 – Graduation - A celebration of how far you have come & what to expect in the next stage.

Week 7 – Image with Stylist / Image Consultant - Style identity, self-confidence & dressing for the new you.

Week 8 - Relationships with a Counsellor - Setting boundaries, asking for help & navigating changing dynamics with family & friends.

Week 9 – Care with a Facilitator - The most common childcare questions, hiring a nanny & family support.

Week 10 - Graduation

Week 2 - Move with an Exercise Physiologist - In-studio Pilates session for exercises you can do at home & with your baby.

Week 3 - Partner with a Relationship Counsellor - Jealousy, resentment, tit for tat & the 'room mate' effect.

Week 4 - Image with a Stylist / Image Consultant - How to build your mum wardrobe & regain your sense of self.

Week 5 - Relationships with a Counsellor - Communication with family and care givers, setting boundaries, making new friends, letting go of old friends.

Week 6 - Solids with Paediatric Dietitian - Starting Solids, introducing allergens & weaning.

Week 7 - Return to paid work with a Facilitator - Knowing your rights, navigating the transition & your emotional wellbeing.

Week 8 - Self with a PANDA representative - Self care, navigating mum guilt & the mental load of motherhood.

Week 9 - Sleep with a Sleep Consultant - Routines & nap transitions, healthy sleep habits for mum.

Week 10 - Graduation with a Facilitator - Celebration of how far you have come & preview of the next phase.
